Common questions
Does SNCTFY require an account?
No. Core practice, Scripture, prayer, and the Bible reader work without an account or subscription.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. The Berean Standard Bible and core practices are bundled with the app. System features such as sending a message may still require connectivity.
Where is my prayer or recording stored?
On your device. It is not uploaded to Others Oriented. Review the privacy policy for the complete explanation.
How do I delete my data?
Open the Me tab, find the data and privacy section, and choose the delete-all option. SNCTFY asks for confirmation before removing local history, prayer requests, Care Circle information, recordings, preferences, and reminders.
How do group messages work?
In People, choose Message a group, select Care Circle recipients, and write one template. Use {{first_name}} or {{name}} for personalization. SNCTFY opens each draft separately in Messages so you can review, edit, send, or cancel it. Nothing is sent automatically.
Why do I not hear spoken guidance?
Check the iPhone volume, Silent Mode, and the app’s audio settings. If another app or call interrupted a session, return to SNCTFY and resume when ready.
How do reminders work?
Directions are local notifications you explicitly enable. SNCTFY does not use guilt or streak pressure, and you can turn directions off at any time.
How do I use Apple Watch?
Install the companion through the Watch app on iPhone. The Watch can begin or control supported practices and relay completed reflections back to the paired iPhone.
Accessibility
SNCTFY supports Dynamic Type, dark appearance, reduced motion, semantic accessibility labels, spoken prompts, and multiple forms of feedback for important states. If a common task is difficult with VoiceOver, Voice Control, Larger Text, or another accessibility feature, email support with the screen and task involved.
Safety
SNCTFY offers spiritual formation prompts, not medical, mental-health, nutritional, or emergency advice. Fasting practices include boundaries and alternatives, but you should use your own judgment and consult an appropriate professional when needed.
